PUBG: season 12 arrives in June with remastered Miramar map

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds ( PUBG ) will receive the season 12 update on June 2 on PC and June 10 on consoles. Among the contents of patch 12.1 are the remastered Miramar map, a new weapon, a vehicle, and the Weapon Visual Upgrade System. 

Changes to Miramar Will Be Visual Only

The Miramar remaster is the game's first map update for 2021. According to the update schedule, PUBG will still have two new arenas : Tiger, which arrives in the third quarter of this year, and Kiki, scheduled to be released. launched between late 2021 and early 2022.

The Miramar update promises to improve the look of the arena with more detailed textures, revamped trees, modified buildings, and improved lighting. The idea is to make the location have the same graphic quality as the latest maps, such as Paramo and Haven.

Developer PUBG Corporation has ensured to keep all current map settings. That way, players won't have to worry about learning new paths or getting to know structures that didn't exist before. The changes in Miramar will be visual only.

Update 12.1 even brings a new weapon, the L6 Lynx AMR anti-material rifle. Designed to damage military equipment such as player shields and armored vehicles, the weaponry can also be used as a sniper rifle.

The L6 Lynx AMR has enough firepower to detonate a main battle tank. Players can use the weapon to hit opponents behind windows and destroy smaller vehicles, such as motorcycles, with just one shot. The equipment, however, uses only five .50 caliber bullets and cannot be reloaded.

Battle Royale will also place an exclusive ATV in Miramar. The vehicle has a capacity for two people, 750 health points and can reach 125 kilometers per hour at maximum thrust.

The last highlight is for the Weapon Visual Enhancement System. The feature allows players to apply a skin to gear that levels up and changes appearance using specific materials. These skins can only appear on Contraband Boxes.
